Precision grading is one of the most technically demanding parts of earthworks preparation. Whether it is a house pad that needs to be within 10mm of design level, a horse arena that needs to drain correctly without puddling, or a carpark that needs consistent fall to channel drains, the equipment and the operator both need to perform.
TBT Earthworks runs a laser grader skidsteer - a machine with a laser-guided blade that automatically adjusts to maintain the correct grade as it moves across the surface. This allows fine tolerance grading to be completed faster and more accurately than manual methods, with less passes required over the finished surface.
Where Laser Grading Makes a Difference
- House pads and ribraft formation. Engineers specify formation levels to tight tolerances. Laser grading hits those levels consistently.
- Horse arenas and equestrian facilities. Arena surfaces need consistent cross-fall for drainage while remaining flat enough for safe use. Laser grading achieves both.
- Commercial carparks. Large flat carpark surfaces need precise drainage grades to prevent ponding and surface deterioration.
- Sports surfaces and rural developments. Any application where grade precision matters more than bulk earthmoving.
